How's that. All those wolf photo deviations and now, after 8 months, this is my first photo of a howling wolf that I upload.
Hope you like it. This is Mai, a female black Canadian wolf (already fading considerably) at the UK Wolf Conservation Trust ([link]) calling out for her sister Mosi while on a walk. They both used to be together with Torak in one pack for a long time until they got separated by the handlers because they didn't get along well anymore. But whenever one of them goes on a walk, the other calls out for her.
This photo has recently been chosen as the cover art for the book "The Truth About Wolves and Dogs" by Toni Shelbourne.
That's an awesome picture of Mai! I had the amazing chance of working at the Trust and all the wolves are so amazingly photogenic! I was there when they lost Dakota, that was a sad day but I can't wait to go back to see the others again and their new addition =]
Yea, well I know but it looks very soft.. maybe because you were capturing a wolf...hmm xD
But I noticed that I was writing mostly the same comment on the majority of the photos I commented.. of course that's happening because I won't just comment everything. Just photos which meets some 'requirements' like composition, focus, color balance etc. So I tried to alter that a bit.. but maybe I'll stick to the basics again
