How's that. All those wolf photo deviations and now, after 8 months, this is my first photo of a howling wolf that I upload.

Hope you like it. This is Mai, a female black Canadian wolf (already fading considerably) at the UK Wolf Conservation Trust ([link]) calling out for her sister Mosi while on a walk. They both used to be together with Torak in one pack for a long time until they got separated by the handlers because they didn't get along well anymore. But whenever one of them goes on a walk, the other calls out for her. :D

This photo has recently been chosen as the cover art for the book "The Truth About Wolves and Dogs" by Toni Shelbourne.

that's actually kind of sad. i feel as if i can almost hear her calling out an apology to her sister for getting into fights and she misses the time they spent together.
