Torak, a male European wolf at the UK Wolf Conservation Trust ([link]), is pretty shy of humans, especially males. At the photographic day, he wouldn't come anywhere near the photographers
So this is one of the few more or less nice shots of him, unfortunately the sun was not out at that time and because I was shooting with the 70-200 lens, I had to do a radical crop for this, this is almost 100%. I'm sure glad the lens preserves a nice sharpness at 100% for sure...
I might crop it differently in the future, for the surrounding grass and trees are quite beautiful too, but for now that's what I came up with - especially at the low upload resolution, Torak would get kind of lost in the picture at wider crops.
Wow, the sharpness, tonation, the colours... everything about this picture is just perfect and it's hard to believe it's actually a 100% crop from a shot taken at sunless conditions :}
